This installation is a satirical play on the term used for the financing of large banks, and Wall Street firms in the wake of the recent financial crisis. Here a large green accountant's ledger book falls to earth supported only by a woefully small golden parachute. Unlike the lavish golden parachutes handed out on a regular basis to corporate CEOs upon retirement, this supply chute can hardly do the job of delivering the required fix. The accounts, as implied by the scattered numbers along the ground, are meaningless. This installation for the exhibition Object Affection at BOFFO's Brooklyn waterfront site allows visitors to participate in activating the power blower at the rear of the work, inflating the parachute with a roar of rushing air.
